Since its founding in 2022, Open Waters has already reached thousands of students at high schools and universities all across the state.

Open Waters continues to visit schools and participate in career fairs, where we introduce students to the many career paths that Louisiana’s maritime industry has to offer. Students are given a chance to learn about skilled, high-paying professions, engage in immersive learning activities, and to take their first steps in pursuing a maritime career.
